The hardest question in training isn't what to do — it's the smaller one you face every morning: should I train at all today? Push too hard and you get hurt; rest too long and the habit dies. Most apps only record. They don't answer.
So DAY 1 is built around a traffic light. Six questions each morning (energy, sleepiness, soreness, stress, pain, today's goal) plus sleep, heart rate and HRV from Apple Health produce your readiness for the day: green to push, yellow for normal, orange to dial it back, red to rest — signals like a fever stop you outright. The colour then derives today's prescription, instead of forcing a fixed plan on you.
From that one light it grew into a whole product: a library of 279 exercises, a live AI coach that picks its moment to speak (heart rate split into five zones — it knows when not to interrupt), photo-based nutrition logging, and a standalone Apple Watch app where a double tap finishes a set and swimming locks the screen automatically. Plus widgets, Dynamic Island, and five languages.
One part I'm strict about: privacy boundaries are written into the architecture. Food photos never leave the device — only the nutrition numbers sync. Cycle data never leaves at all. Chat history is off-limits to every outbound interface.
My favourite piece is the developer portal: let your own AI read your body. Generate an API key with the same account as the app, and your training, recovery and nutrition data opens up to your own agent — Claude, Cursor, whatever you use — across six endpoints, from an overview down to individual sets. Your health data should belong to you, and it should be legible to your own AI.
It ships under Others Studio. Features and downloads live on that site; this page is only about why it exists.
